Paisley First BID Renews for Five Years after Successful Ballot

Paisley First, the Business Improvement District for Paisley town centre, has successfully renewed for a second five-year term.

In line with Scottish Government legislation, the BID renewal process was completed on 24th October following a confidential postal ballot.

199 Yes votes were received with only 79 votes against the 2020-2025 Business Plan proposals.

The new term will get underway on 15th January 2020 and run until January 2025.

Chair of Paisley First, Colette Cardosi, said: “The Paisley First team are busy working on all our projects planned for the festive season but the board has already approved plans to ensure the BID delivers even more value to the town and local businesses moving forward.

“Paisley First has delivered some fantastic projects in term one but there is so much more still to do. We are grateful to the local business community for putting their faith in the Paisley First board and team to deliver even more in the next five years.

“The Paisley First board and staff will be working harder than ever with, and on behalf of, our BID members to ensure Paisley is a great place to live, work and visit, a town centre we can all be proud of.”
