‘Most Loved Falkirk Town Centre Businesses’ 2024 Winners announced

As part of its latest campaign, which shares the love around the town’s businesses, Falkirk Delivers BID invited people to vote for their most loved business within the town centre, with the winners revealed on Valentine’s Day.

When the competition entries closed, there were nominations for over 140 businesses, highlighting the immense support of the vibrant and diverse business community in Falkirk. There was phenomenal engagement from the community, with the competition gaining a social media reach of over 150,000.

Given the overwhelming number of votes and the diversity of businesses nominated, Falkirk Delivers decided to make a slight change to the awards format.

Deborah, Chair of the Board, said, ‘We realized that the range of services offered by our nominees was so broad that it deserved to be recognized across different categories. Therefore, we have divided the overall top 10 businesses into four distinct categories: Retail, Health & Fitness, Charity, and Service.’

The top 10 businesses in alphabetical order are: Amitie Hair, Brian Hurren Music Academy, Engine Room, Girl Power, Lyn’s Small Animal Rehoming, Rod Smith Hairdressing, Salon Sisters, Scarlet Ribbons, Serenity Hair and Beauty and Sisters Boutique.

The Provost, who was presenting the awards, said, ‘This award is about more than just winning; it’s about sharing some love around our town centre this Valentine’s season. And I must say, it has done just that. The engagement and positive conversations about our town on social media have been nothing short of brilliant.’

The winners are:

• In the Charity category, the winner is Lyn’s Small Animal Rehoming.

• For the Retail category, the winner is Sisters Boutique.

• In the Health and Fitness category, the winner is Girl Power.

• And lastly, in the Service category, the winner is Salon Sisters.

Falkirk BID has been an avid champion of the Scotland Loves Local campaign and local businesses.

Over the summer of 2023, Retail winner Sisters Boutique took part in the Scotland Loves Local campaign, championing local businesses and encouraging folks to think local first. You can have a watch of their video with Sean Batty below:
