JOB DESCRIPTION

Alloa is great town with huge potential; independent shops, great places to eat and a range of offices and commercial businesses give the town a unique character. Our location in central Scotland and strong community feel makes the town a great place to enjoy, live and do business.

The Alloa Town Centre BID commenced in October 2008 and has just secured a further 5-year term until October 2023. Whilst we are a relatively small BID, we pack a large punch. During the first ten years we have campaigned for continued free parking in the town centre; delivered a raft of great events & experiences for our visitors and shoppers; achieved Gold award for Alloa in Bloom, awarded thousands of pounds in business improvement grants; reductions on utilities for our members; free recycling for businesses and WiFi throughout the town centre.

We are looking for a motivated, innovative manager to take our BID to the next level. You’ll be self-employed with great project management skills including; control of budgets, commercial awareness, business planning and marketing.  A courteous and outgoing manner with strong interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills is essential.

This is a fixed term contract to 2023 on a part time (24 hours), self-employed basis with the potential to be extended for a further 5-year term.
