I Love Clarkston Community Awards 2019: Support & Get Involved!

The I Love Clarkston Business Improvement District is proud to host the first I Love Clarkston Community Awards 2019 on Friday 1st March 2019.

The event will be held from 19:00 at the Redhurst Hotel. The evening will recognise community members, groups and businesses within Clarkston that help improve the lives of local residents and the community as a whole.

There will be eight awards presented on the night, which are listed below. Click on each image to be taken to the nomination form for each award.

Tickets to the event went on-sale at A very, Merry, Clarkston Christmas on Saturday 17 November, with any remaining tickets available online from 09:00 on Monday 19 November 2018. These are be priced at £30 per person or £250 per table of 10. All tickets will include a glass of bubbly on arrival, three course meal, awards and live entertainment.

This promises to be a wonderful night celebrating the Clarkston community and a great chance to shout about those unsung heroes within the town!


The headline prize for the 2019 I Love Clarkston Community Community Awards. Awarded to someone who shines above all others in the work they do within the Clarkston Community. The winner of this prize can be an individual or organisation of any age.

The winner will be chosen by an independent panel of judges. No identifiable information, such as name, age or gender, will be given to the panel, ensuring that the voting process is fair and unbiased.


This prize will be awarded to a person 16 years and under who demonstrates an energy, courage or drive to improve the community the live in and the lives of those around them.

This prize will be awarded to the top inspirational person in Clarkston, providing direction and leadership to others. This could be a teacher, coach, group leader etc. The winner will be chosen by an independent panel of judges. No identifiable information, such as name or gender, will be given to the panel, ensuring that the voting process is fair and unbiased.


Celebrating the group that shines brightest in Clarkston, this prize will be awarded to the group which does the most in the Clarkston Community. This can be awarded to any sort of organised group, such as Scouts, Brownies, sports team, dance school or community group. The winner will be chosen by an independent panel of judges.


This award is given to the individual or business who goes beyond the call of duty to ensure that their customers are taken care of. Nominations for this award are open to individual employees, high-street businesses and home-based businesses. Our independent panel will create a shortlist of finalists for this category, with the winner being chosen by public vote.


Awarded to the Clarkston business who goes above and beyond in promoting Clarkston, helping the local community and showcasing exemplary customer service. Businesses who have fewer than 6 stores nationwide are eligible to be nominated for this category.  This category is open to home, high street and office based businesses in Clarkston. The winner will be chosen by an independent panel of judges.


Awarded to the Clarkston business who, although part of a national chain, goes above and beyond supporting the local community whilst showcasing exemplary customer service. Businesses who have more than 6 stores nationwide are eligible to be nominated for this category. The winner will be chosen by an independent panel of judges.


 

This award will be given to a person, group or business who the I Love Clarkston Management committee believe has been overlooked in other categories, but has deserves recognition for they work within the community. There will be no public nominations for this award, with all nominees suggested by committee members and the winner by the I Love Clarkston Management Committee.
