STP Webinar (Zoom)

As lockdown is relaxed and more businesses reopen, ensuring health guidance is observed and shared spaces are managed safely is an important task to help people feel confident to shop locally.

This timely webinar from STP will emphasise the key messaging, guidance and support for safely opening and managing shared spaces in towns and communities across Scotland. This will be helpful for all who have a role or responsibility in managing places as easing of lockdown commences.

In the first part of the webinar, you will receive an overview of the issues and guidance for managing the civic realm safely and confidently from the Chief Architect of Scottish Government and the Planning Manager and Chair of the Infrastructure Service Strategic Group at Aberdeenshire Council. STP’s Chief Officer, Phil Prentice, will also introduce the national ‘love local’ campaign which will encourage the population to shop locally and support local traders.

In the second part of the seminar, you will be able to ask questions about reopening and managing public spaces to local authority officers from services covering Economic Development, Environmental Health, Planning, Roads, Transportation, Licensing, Legal, Trading Standards and Property.  They are based at Aberdeenshire Council’s Infrastructure Services group, which supports all enquiries from businesses that require a decision from more than one service on use of civic or outdoor space.

Please see agenda below, and register your place here.
