The need for us all to choose local has never been more important as our communities tackle the triple challenges of cost-of-living, climate change and pandemic recovery. As you all know, the need to keep the focus on this need is sharp if we are to protect local jobs, sustain services and build better places to live, work and visit.
Since the summer of 2020, Scotland Loves Local has played a major part in encouraging people to think, choose and spend locally.
Our campaign – supported by the Scottish Government and others – is evolving from Covid-19 recovery to a moment which can deliver true economic and environmental sustainability in local communities. Loving local provides the power by which we can respond to wider challenges, bringing together people, businesses and community representatives to build a better future.
A new wave of Scotland Loves Local activity is about to get underway – and, as you did in its launch, Improvement Districts have a HUGE part to play in encouraging the step-change in behaviour that we desperately need to continue.
You can find out how your Improvement District can get involved – in the media and in your community – in a special lunchtime webinar being held by our campaign partners Message Matters from 1:30pm-2pm on Thursday May 25th.
