14 March 2019 | 10:30-11:30 | Online seminar:
In spite of declining trends in national newspapers, local newspapers remain popular with local people. As such, engaging with your local newspapers is an important way to get your message out and shape sentiment around your organisation.
In this session, we look at how Improvement Districts can develop effective local media strategies, including creating strong local people-based content and building effective relationships with local journalists. The session also discusses some tips and advice on how to respond in crisis situations.
It will involve some practical exercises and a more substantial session outline will be issued to participants in advance.
The training will be delivered by Message Matters, a leading Scottish strategic communications and political relations firm.
