Barrhead’s community spirit was on full display at the seventh All About Barrhead Awards, as local businesses, organisations and individuals were recognised for their outstanding contribution to the town.
The annual event hosted at the Dalmeny Park House Hotel and delivered by the All About Barrhead Business Improvement District (BID), received over 130 nominations across a wide range of categories, highlighting the depth of talent, dedication and community pride across Barrhead.
This year also saw the introduction of three new categories: Climate Impact, Rising Star and People’s Choice recognising environmental action, young people making a difference, and the businesses most loved by the public.
The People’s Choice Award was decided entirely by public vote, with residents casting their votes through the new Explore East Ren app, giving the community a direct say in recognising their favourite local businesses.

Elizabeth Robertson, Customer Director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, said:
“Taylor Wimpey West Scotland is delighted to have been named National Business of the Year at the All About Barrhead Awards 2026. These awards celebrate organisations that go above and beyond for their local communities, making this recognition especially meaningful.
This honour reflects our long-standing commitment to supporting young people, families and inclusive local services, with thousands of pounds donated through our community benefits scheme linked to our local developments in Barrhead.
We’re proud to play a part in supporting the communities where we build and look forward to continuing that as our developments at Springhill Gardens and Arthurlie Gate progress.”
Jenny Dunlop, Business Improvement District Manager for All About Barrhead, said:
“The Awards continue to show just how much positive work is happening across Barrhead every single day. From businesses and community groups to individuals and young people, the level of commitment and care for the town is incredible.
It has been particularly encouraging to see new faces and organisations recognised this year, alongside those who have been quietly making a difference for many years. These awards are about celebrating all of that effort and reminding people just how strong our community is.”
The event also raised vital funds for Beatson Cancer Charity, with a raffle featuring prizes generously donated by local businesses, including an overnight stay at the Dalmeny Park House Hotel, a £200 Moda Dea voucher, a £150 Amazon voucher from Barrhead Property, and many more. A total of £1,315 was raised on the night to support the charity’s work across the West of Scotland. Here are some photos of the night:

The Explore East Ren app, launched in partnership with East Renfrewshire’s three BIDs, played a key role in this year’s awards. As well as hosting the People’s Choice vote, the app now features a dedicated tour showcasing all nominees, runners-up and winners, along with details of their achievements. The app is free to download on both Apple and Android devices.
The All About Barrhead Business Improvement District is also approaching the end of its current five-year term. On 16 July, businesses within the BID area will go to ballot to decide whether they wish the BID to continue for a further five years.
